Default Scale object by same dimension all round

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

I would like some help in how to scale an object all around by a fixed amount,

I am using Autocad to draw 2D objects to cut on a cnc machine, I am using Cut2d to convert the dxf file to G-code, Cut2D does not allow the user to create tabs.

To solve the problem i need to create a duplicate object the same shape as the original but say 3.157mm distance allround the original, so that I can create a second path.

    Is this possible

If your CNC machine can use polylines I would draw my shape either using a POLYLINE or once finished convert it using PEDIT to be one closed polyline. Then use the OFFSET command giving a distance. If your CNC can't accept polylines do the above and then explode both shapes.

Thanks Dave. Offset does the job perfectly.
